SKIN PROCEDURES · WEST DELHI
Most moles are harmless, but any mole you want removed, or that has changed, should be looked at by a doctor first. At UK's Derma in Moti Nagar, West Delhi, a specialist examines the growth, explains whether removal is appropriate and discusses how it would be done.
In short: Do not treat a mole yourself. A specialist must examine it first because some changing moles need medical evaluation rather than cosmetic removal. Method, healing time and scarring risk vary and are explained at consultation.

OVERVIEW
A mole is a common skin growth made of pigment cells. Many people ask for removal for cosmetic reasons, or because a mole catches on clothing or is in a visible place. Skin tags and some warts are different growths and are assessed separately.
Removal is a minor medical procedure. It should be done only after the growth has been examined, and the plan depends on its size, depth and location.
These changes need a proper medical check and are not a matter of cosmetic removal alone.
THE PROCESS
How It Works at UK's Derma
After the examination, the specialist explains the options that may be used, such as radiofrequency, laser or surgical removal, and which is appropriate for your growth. The area is numbed, the procedure is carried out and aftercare is explained.
Where the specialist advises it, the removed tissue can be sent for laboratory examination. This is not done for every mole, and you will be told if it is recommended.
A small wound or scab forms and heals over some days to weeks, depending on the method and the area. Some marks or colour change can remain, and the risk differs between individuals and body sites. The specialist discusses this before you decide.
WHY UK'S DERMA
Your skin, hair or concern is examined in person before any Mole Removal plan is suggested.
